CreakyJoints was born at 3 a.m. one morning in 1999, when Seth Ginsberg emailed his former internship boss, entrepreneur Louis Tharp. “I was in my bunk bed, miserable and alone,” Ginsberg recalls in an article posted on Healio.com. In the email, he wrote that “There has to be a way to bring people together in a positive environment to share strength and experience.” Luckily, he says, Tharp agreed, and CreakyJoints and then the umbrella nonprofit Global Healthy Living Foundation became realities.
“We’ve obviously evolved a bit, but CreakyJoints remains the bedrock of patient community for people with all forms of arthritis,” Ginsberg told Healio.com, an “in-depth specialty clinical information website,” per its site. “It is a great resource for patients, their families and the public.”
