At the 2018 annual meeting of the American College of Rheumatology, CreakyJoints had the opportunity to speak with Lee Simon, MD, a rheumatologist in Cambridge, Massachusetts about what it’s like living with osteoarthritis (OA), the most common type of arthritis in America. Because OA is commonly described as the “wear-and-tear” kind — and often occurs as a result of aging — it can be perceived as less serious than inflammatory kinds of arthritis like rheumatoid or spondylitis.
