At the 2018 annual meeting of the American College of Rheumatology, CreakyJoints had the opportunity to speak with Adena Batterman, MSW, LCSW, senior manager of inflammatory arthritis support and education programs at the Hospital for Special Surgery in New York City. Mental health conditions like depression and anxiety are very common among people living with arthritis, and it’s time for doctors and patients to recognize and treat them.
