Shantana has had joint pain for over 3 years. Although RA does not show up in her lab tests, she has all of the symptoms, including morning stiffness that lasts all day and waiting for her hands to “thaw out.”
Shantana created the Sister-Girl Foundation to support women with endometriosis and her full-time job is advocating on behalf of women’s gynecological issues. She’s a very spiritual person who knows how to keep herself going. Shantana has earned a Bachelors Degree in Human Service with a concentration in psychology from Charter Oak State. She is pursuing her Masters in the Fall of 2014.
