Marta is happily retired, but nevertheless, she likes to keep an active lifestyle and hold a part time job assisting on the Administration of Community Pharmacy. She is an awareness campaign ambassador for the Puerto Rican Foundation for Rheumatic Diseases (FER), a non-profit organization and its mission to contribute to the general welfare of patients living with rheumatic disease. She obtained her bachelor’s degree in Commercial Education from Suffolk University, MA. She is the mother of a 21-year-old son, who is attending college in Puerto Rico. She was diagnosis with psoriatic arthritis 10 years ago. Taken as shaking news at first, it has never been an impediment for having a normal, active life quality. In her leisure time, she loves gardening, especially exotic orchids, and practicing aqua aerobics in the warm Puerto Rican ocean.
