I would dodge depression
Which hits me in waves,

If I had an ounce of control
Over my brain.

It inevitably hits me,
Without warning so hard…
That it catches my brain
Totally off guard.

My only reaction
Is to ‘hide-bernate’,
Until the sad passes…
I won’t come out to play.

It would be a huge victory,
If I had some control
Over the brain in me.
