The last time a round of depression hit,
I was surprised by her special gift.
My sadness came to a screeching halt,
Catching this depression totally off guard.
Cleverly thought out and so well planned,
Each little gift wrapped with love from her painful hands.
The giver has lived with pain most of her lifetime.
For one special moment… she was my lifeline.
She taught me a lesson I won’t forget,
I’m not alone and I’m very blessed.
So the next time sadness comes around,
By her loving example, I’ll be the one who reaches out.
