I know everyone talks about those ‘endorphins’ from working out, and for the first time in memory I have experienced them. And they feel great!
I have been working out more lately, hitting the gym for 45 minutes at a time at least two or three times a week. This came as a result of hearing from friends that I put on weight, and that other people had said I put on weight, and other people and my friends getting together to talk about the fact that I’ve put on weight. I got tired of hearing this, not to mention feeling so lethargic, so I got my butt to the gym and stopped eating crap all day long. I’m at the two week mark, and so far so good!
But that hasn’t stopped the irony. Like taking the elevator to the gym the other day. Go figure. Or on my cheat day, ordering a burrito and then springing for the Diet Coke. But it’s these ironies which keep us going, right?
I know everyone talks about those ‘endorphins’ from working out, and for the first time in memory I have experienced them. And they feel great! It takes a few trips to the gym, and once you’re there it takes some really good music to get you going, but trust me, it’s worth it.
So to the people who talk about how fat I’ve gotten (and you know who you are), let’s see who gets the last laugh.
