Yesterday I was at my desk, working, tired, and somewhat stressed out. The day was coming to an end and I decided, on a whim, to go across the street for a 4:30 yoga class. I thought of it as a chance to stretch, breathe, and center myself. I’m really glad I went! It feels great, especially a nice, gentle, beginner class. (I have no interest in contorting into a pretzel, and the most important part is to align the mind and body, so gentle yoga is perfect for me.)
Here’s what I observed: people who do yoga are way too skinny! But that won’t stop me. Maybe if I do it enough, I’ll look like them?
